27 Nov STUDYING A MASTER’S DEGREE IN MADRID 2025
Enrollment for master’s degrees in Madrid has increased by 72% in the last 6 years, according to data published by the Ministry of Education (covering the last ten years).
Madrid offers more than 44% of the entire national supply. Of that percentage, nearly 59% is provided by public universities and over 40% by private ones.
The vast majority of the master’s programs offered are in legal and social sciences, followed by those in health sciences, engineering, and architecture. Some are qualifying and mandatory for professional practice, but most are pursued to gain specialization or to update skills.

Public universities mainly offer on-site courses, which are more suitable for recent graduates, while private universities offer other modalities (online or blended, adapted to the current pandemic situation) that better suit the profile of those already working who want to update or retrain.
The percentage of students from outside Madrid (both national and international) grows every year, as the city is a highly sought-after destination due to its geographic location and excellent transportation; its climate; its rich cultural, gastronomic, and leisure offerings; and quality of life…
Many of these students choose to stay at MasterHome Residencia due to its excellent location, its perfect connections to all universities and business schools, and its quiet and comfortable facilities.
